Karen Bubb is Public Arts Manager for the Boise City Department of Arts & History and Capital City Development Corporation. She is also an Affiliate for Boise State University’s (BSU) Centre for Creativity and Innovation in the College of Business and Economics. Bubb consults and provides workshops statewide for municipalities and arts organizations regarding public art, creativity and cultural policy and is an adjunct professor at BSU. In 2008 she completed her Masters in Public Administration and Graduate Certificate for Regional and Community Planning at BSU with a focus on cultural policy and planning. Bubb, a native of Boise, is an active visual artist who graduated from University of Oregon in 1990 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. She works in many mediums including stained glass, encaustic painting, ceramics, printmaking and collage. Her art is represented in numerous private collections and the permanent collection of the Boise Art Museum.
